Visit the ‘Splenderific’ Roald Dahl Museum in London
Those who have grown up reading Roald Dahl’s books, hold a soft spot for the author who lit up their childhood with magical literature.
The Roald Dahl Museum is a must-see for fans of the novelist. A registered charity, the story centre has been dubbed a ‘cosy nook’ and resides in Buckinghamshire; a town on the outskirts of London. Known as the Roald Dahl town, the architecture of Bucks has influenced London’s property market and can be seen in the design of Clapham flats. Highlights of Roald Dahl’s biographically-themed house include his writing hut, complete with all of its original contents and furnishings. Visitors can also sit in Roald Dahl’s chair, the spot where the author spent most of his time. Delightful interactive exhibits are also on display, acting as visual time-machines that transport visitors back to the life and times of Roald Dahl. |
