Sundance London Set to Dazzle with International Independent Cinema
The Sundance Festival 2012 was held in Park City, Utah, earlier in January, to much acclaim. The festival premiers the most anticipated independent films around. It’s the pinnacle of the independent film and cinema calendar and can really kick-start careers of those involved. The Sundance London film festival imports the same flavour from across the ocean and into the O2 arena where 14 of those American feature films, documentaries and narratives will be premiered in the UK. It’s these types of events that make life as an estate agent in London quite exciting.
Robert Redford, who is the President and Founder of the Sundance Institute, expressed his interest at how these films will be received at London Sundance. Despite the films all being United States based, Redford told reporters that he was confident the issues raised in the films would be relatable across the world. The idea of growing the global independent film reach is vehemently supported by both Redford and John Cooper, who is the director of the Sundance Film Festival and consequently, Sundance London 2012 adds even more diverse value to the city.
There will also be musical accompaniment to take London Sundance to that next level and this will include performances by Placebo, as well as Tricky and Martina Topley-Bird. Tickets for London Sundance are quite varied in price and can range from anywhere between 10 pounds for one screening to 3000 pounds for pretty much full access to everything. Clapham estate agents will be encouraged by the increase of international interest in London as famous celebrities of the film industry often purchase second homes in the city. The London Sundance festival adds another notch to their cultural and entertainment belt.
Sundance London takes place at the O2 from 26th to 29th of April. For more information visit: http://www.sundance-london.com/
